The 2015 Swedish Air Force main Air Show was held at Skaraborgs Flygflottilj, F7, at Såtenäs in Sweden. The Flotilla is home to the transport division of the Swedish Air Force and their C-130 Hercules air planes, as well as the JAS 39 Gripen center where fighter pilots are trained. On top of this, F7 is also the home base for the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight and their collection of historic planes such as the J 29 Tunnan, SK 35 Draken and AJS 37 Viggen.
Normally, the C-130 air planes usually just transport people and equipment to and from air show and then end up on static display, but at this Air Show, the C-130 actually were one of the main flying events with formation flying, air drops and air refuelling demonstrations.
Spectacular weather and a great mix of air planes flying made this a great air show, with an estimated +40 000 people attending the event.
From an air plane photographer's point of view, the arrangements for spotters/photographers was not as good as they could have been but with a little planning and reconnaissance, it was possible to find some good photo locations.
